December 2023 / zeron draws a positive balance for 2023

2023 was another strong year for zeron. It started with a great new client that zeron won in a PR pitch: Westfield Centro in Oberhausen, which, like the three other shopping centres managed by zeron - Ruhr Park Bochum, Minto Mönchengladbach and Düsseldorf Arcaden - is part of the Unibail Rodamco Group. Another great project was the testimonial campaign for Ludwig Schokolade's "Edle Tropfen in Nuss" brand, which we were able to support in terms of press relations and PR B2C and B2B. We were very pleased that the dual system EKO-PUNKT chose zeron as its PR agency in July 2023 (and that as a Cologne-based company :-). An industry that we already know very well thanks to our many years of experience in the glass industry and our involvement with topics such as sustainability and the circular economy, which is why we are happy to support it.

And even though we managed to welcome three new clients, despite not actively pursuing any new business, the economic climate nevertheless had a slight impact. There was a slight budget restraint, particularly in the area of product/brand PR, and one or two projects were not realised or postponed until 2024. As a result, zeron's income will fall slightly from a sensational 1.8 million euros in 2022 (the best result since zeron was founded) to around 1.7 million euros. "Fortunately, this is not a major problem for us because we are a very healthy company," says zeron agency boss Vivian Stürmann, commenting on the preliminary results. However, zeron has seen strong growth in the area of corporate PR and crisis PR. The many challenges have led to a significant increase in demand in this segment. "It's not nice for our clients, but it's a field in which we are also very well positioned," says Vivian Stürmann. "And we are pleased that we have also been able to prove ourselves here."

The year 2024 is already under a good star in December. zeron was allowed to take part in a major pitch. Whether the PR agency from Düsseldorf won this pitch - we will announce this in a news item in the new year. But it looks good :-).
