April 2022 / zeron organises a topping out ceremony for DüBS

Düsseldorfer Bau- und Spargenossenschaft eG (DüBS) had been planning the refurbishment and modernisation of its biggest residential area in Lichtenbroich since 2015, a project that also involved the construction of a new building. It has christened the new residential area: ’Wiesenviertel’, which is German for ‘meadow district’.

In August 2021 the cornerstone for the new building was laid at an official event on 'Sunflower Field’. In April 2022 it was time for the topping out ceremony. zeron organised the event and handled the PR surrounding it. 96 new, modern and disabled accessible apartments with affordable rents will ready for occupation by early 2023: from one-room apartments for singles to four-room apartments with gardens for families.

zeron took care of everything necessary to organise an event of this kind, from invitation management and the organisation of catering and technical equipment to drafting the speeches – plus local media relations. They ensured that the around 80 invited guests were able to enjoy watching the final piece of the building being put into place as they listened to the foreman giving his traditional topping-out speech. The media were also in attendance, with DüBS hosting a WDR TV team reporting on rising construction costs. All guests received a give-away in the form of a little bottle of sunflower oil – a scarce commodity right now ;-).
