July 2022 / zeron organises a bee workshop for Tele2

Our client Tele2 likes to combine everyday activities with supporting good causes. Back in 2020, it launched a mobile phone tariff that includes a monthly charitable donation at no extra cost to the customer. Since then, Tele2 has been donating EUR 1 every month to one of its charity partners for every new mobile tariff contract that has been taken out!

One of those four charity partners is Deutschland summt!, an organisation committed to saving the bee population and educating the public. Cornelis Hemmer, initiator and patron of Deutschland summt!, was determined to share his knowledge of bees with interested Tele2 employees on a summer meadow in Neuss-Reuschenberg.

The event was also attended by the two Instagram apiarists Sabrina from Honigmanufaktur mit Herz and Betty from Betty’s Bienen, both of whom had useful advice on protecting bees. They also showed the workshop attendees how to make bee-friendly seed bombs for their own gardens using just a few simple utensils.

The highlight of the bee workshop was Tele2’s presentation of a big wild bee nesting aid to the City of Neuss. It has now been set up on the ‘Hochzeitshain’ wedding grove, where it will provide many types of bees and insects with a nesting place. zeron designed and organised the bee workshop, and handled all the press relations. Now we’re all big bee fans ;-).
