The situation / 

Every year Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr, or VRR, publishes its FreizeitLust recreational activities brochure with exciting excursion ideas in the entire VRR region. The objective is to encourage both existing and new customers to make frequent use of their public transport tickets.

The brief / 

To research new leisure destinations and routes in the VRR region and increase content consumption across various media. The challenge is to ensure there are no repetitions! With so many previous issues and highlighted destinations, that's no easy task!

zeron’s role / 

In short: concept, research, text and layout, with a different content focus every month. We set out to discover insider tips and excursion destinations that can't be found in regular guide books. Examples include an asparagus walk through Nettetal, new trend sports such as paddle tennis or bubble ball soccer, fun on the water with stand-up paddling or a family adventure on a night safari at Duisburg Zoo. FreizeitLust also tells readers where to find the best toboggan runs, water slides, spas and indoor Christmas markets. zeron was also asked to  develop a concept to increase content consumption across various media, including Facebook posts, contests, influencer cooperations and content for the VRR's online magazine.

The result / 

Over 70 exciting and unusual excursion tips across the entire VRR region – now in two attractive brochures. Leisure time in the VRR region is anything but boring!
